Love in the country and down at the beach.

Another beautiful engagement session!

Doug and Emily’s wedding is coming up at the end of March.  So we needed to get this engagement session in before the big day!  I love engagement sessions–it is a chance for me to visit with the couple and get to know them before the busy, busy, wedding day.  Doug and Emily are so SWEET together.  There is so much health and life in their relationship.  Emily is just this sweet, kind, generous person just filled with joy and compassion.  Doug you are a blessed man to have such a beautiful, soon-to-be bride.  Doug actually is a photographer and has done wedding and portrait work himself.  It is a privilege to work for another photographer. We started their session in El Dorado Nature Center which just had this great country feel to it.  I absolutely love the pictures in the forest and on the dirt road. Make sure to scroll all the way down there are lots of great pictures to view.  Here are a few of my favorites.

This picture below may be one of my favorites–really beautiful!

I want to show you a couple of ideas that Emily really wanted captured.  Below is series of pictures of the couple.  Emily had seen this done at another spot and really liked it! I love to do things for my clients that they love.  I really like how this turned out.

I love the colors and light in this picture below.

I have to give Doug all the credit for this picture–it was his great idea and I love how it turned out.  Thanks for allowing to to capture this special time in your lives.  I am really looking forward to your wedding next month!

Emily - Oh my gracious Julie, these truly live up to your passion for photography. You catured us so well :-) Thank you so much for these memories we can look back on for the rest of our lives. I love the light and color. The sun that filters through leaves, the way you used the shadows on the beach to go through the heart we made in the sand. Yeah!!! I couldn’t me more thrilled with how these turned out. You are a true artist. Much love and thanks to you my friend!
