I am so excited for your future Kari!  I can’t wait to hear how God continues to use your story and I hope to watch at least one of your games in your college career.  I hope that you enjoy these pictures!

]]> http://momentsofgrace.net/blog/?feed=rss2&p=3580 0 Tammy & Anthony’s Engagement http://momentsofgrace.net/blog/?p=3562 http://momentsofgrace.net/blog/?p=3562#comments Sat, 11 Feb 2012 04:21:02 +0000 Julie http://momentsofgrace.net/blog/?p=3562 What a beautiful day and a beautiful couple!  Their engagement session was taken at the Korean Friendship Bell in San Pedro. It was such a clear beautiful morning that we could see all the way to Catalina Island.  Tammy and Anthony are such a joy and you can feel they just are crazy about each other!  If you could only see how many times they cracked up with joy in each other–hopefully you can see a small piece of that joy in these pictures.  I am so excited for this couple and the love that they share and the future that they will have together.  We share a part of our hearts calling, Anthony volunteers at his father’s church in Compton serving in the ministry.  I also feel so excited to share this day with Tammy and her family who are all very dear to me and my husband–they served in ministry along side my husband.  Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your special day and these engagement pictures.  I LOVE them and I hope that you do to!

Lately, Joshua has been so much fun!  This little guy is learning things so quickly and is watching our every move–for example watching where we store the cherrios!  He has brought so much life and joy into our lives and when I look back at pictures, I just can’t imagine life without him.

I was talking to a friend this past week and sharing with her that at one point I was very scared to have children.  I heard most of the stories from worn out mother’s talking about “loosing” their lives and the huge “sacrifice” that children always seem to be.  There may be some truth in these stories, but far too often they forgot to mention all the joys, the belly laughs, the sweet way that your toddler gives you a kiss and hugs you, the way they love life and encourage you to do the same, the pride in watching your child learn.  In my opinion, the mother’s I talked with forgot to mention most of these joys.  I am always aware of this reality as I talk with mothers or mothers-to-be, that it is so easy for us to talk about the negative things in life but forget about all the great joys.  Go to the link below and watch the video.  As you watch the video, it may seem like a negative moment, but my husband and I still take joy in this moment and share it often.
